Hattie decided to be Tinkerbell minus the wings. She wasn't a big fan of them. Paisley was a leaf fairy. Also minus the wings. When we did have them on her she would just take them off. I decided to be crafty and I made their candy corn trick-or-treat bags. I thought they turned out pretty cute.
We began our festivities the Thursday before Halloween. We had a playgroup Halloween Party at our House. We played a few games and decorated some yummy cookies. All the kids seemed to have fun. We had to leave all the games up for when Landen got home from school so he could play them also. Porter and Hattie had a lot of fun taking him to each game and telling him how to play.
Saturday our Ward had a Halloween Party. We ate some chili and soup and then the kids got to play some games. Then everyone headed out for a Trunk or Treat. Ty took the 3 big kids around and Paisley and I handed out candy. Well Paisley really just kept taking candy out of the bowl and was eating it through the wrapper:)
Monday I took the 3 younger kids to the Welcome Center to go Trick-or-Treating. I think they had more fun playing after then doing the actual Trick-or-Treating. Landen had a school Fall Party. I had decided that I wasn't going to drag all the kids to it and that we would just have to miss it. At about 1:58 P.M. I was feeling completley guilty that we weren't going so I rushed to get shoes on the kids and we literally ran through the field to get to the school just in time to watch the costume parade. Landen was so excited that we came. We tried hanging out in his classroom during their party, but ended up going outside so the kids could just run and play. After Landen came out after school he said, "Thanks mom for coming." Ohhh it melted my heart and I was so grateful we went.
When Ty got home from work we took the kids to get a Kids Meal at Wendy's and then we headed out Trick-or-Treating. Hattie was a little hesitant at the first house, but once she realized they were handing out candy for saying Trick-or-Treat she was full speed ahead. Poor Paisley just sat in the stroller. Every few houses we would get candy for her and let her eat it right then. Landen was a Trick-or-Treating machine. When Porter and Hattie were done he was still roaring to go so I took the 3 little ones home and Ty took Landen to a few more houses. He came home with a FULL bag of candy. I guess our area isn't the hot area to Trick-or-Treat so by the end they were just giving handfuls of candy away. He thought it was AWESOME.
So as you can see we had a lot of fun. Here are the pictures to prove it. (Sorry no pictures of Landen's school party I forgot to grab it as we were running out of the house. Also no pictures of the kids playing games at our playgroup party. I was to busy helping/playing with them.)

Getting ready to go Trick-or-Treating at the Welcome Center.
Getting ready to head out Trick-or-Treating. We decided to just leave a bowl of candy so Ty and I could go with the kids. Right before we left we had a brilliant idea to put beards on the boys. They decided that Landen was Jack Sparrow and Porter was Blackbeard. (Thanks Legos.com for teaching our boys all about the Pirates of the Caribbean.) Landen wasn't completely thrilled about having make-up on, but after he saw it he thought it was pretty cool. After the boys had their beards on Hattie really wanted one on also. I talked her into some mascara and shimmering blush. She thought it was pretty neat to have mommy make-up on. I should have taken a close up picture of her, but didn't. She has some serious eyelashes and the mascara made them stand out even more.
Our Pirates!
Yep she got the hang of it. Run to the next house for candy!!!!
