Happy Birthday Landen!!!

Yesterday Landen turned 5. I can't believe our little boy is 5 years old!!! We started the day off right with a good old Loveless tradition and that is breakfast in bed! We LOVE this tradition. Landen chose to have french toast. We sang Happy Birthday to him and then he....

blew out his candle. He also got to....

Open his presents from his Daddy, Mommy, Porter, and Hattie. All he wanted for his birthday was a space ship and that is exactly what he got. He is really into outerspace and astronauts. He says he is going to be one someday. We sure hope so:) After breakfast we played with his toys and got ready for our big party. The best part about the party was...

Getting to talk to his Dad. He really misses his daddy and loves talking to him:) Unless there is a swimming pool involved and then its a hi bye and jump back in the pool! We all had a lot of fun in the pool.
After we finished swimming we did another one of our favorite Loveless family traditions and that is a....

Had a pinata. We LOVE pinatas. I mean what is better than an object you hit and in return it gives you candy. I can't think of anything:) This is a homemade pinata we made during the week. We usually buy them, but they are always so hard to break. Well this thing took the cake. Next time we will do a few less layers. They had a lot of fun trying.
After we broke the stick twice we finally got the thing to break and it was full of candy. After all the pinata fun it was time for cake and it looked a little bit like this...

Yep thats right Batman. We are big Batman fans. I don't know how we became them, but we are. After some cake we...
Opened some presents. Landen got a lot of fun stuff. Thanks to everyone that came and made Landens Birthday special!

Hattie was enjoying all the left overs:)

Guess Who?

So guess what 2 little boys got to sit in this big crane?
These 2 lucky littl e boys. This is one BIG perk of Grandpa's Job is he has all the connections. My dad is doing an addition just right around the corner from where my parents live and today they were setting trusses (?spelling?) so after getting home from the Nature Center we headed over there. All the boys wanted to do was see the crane, but to be able to sit in the crane just made there day!

"N" is for Nature Center

Yes we finally made it to the Nature Center for "N". We have been planning on going for the last 2 weeks, but either the weather was bad or one of us wasn't feeling well, but we finally made it. Here are the boys standing by the only wild thing we saw that wasn't in a cage. Lets just say the Nature Center was a one time adventure for this family.

Hattie really loved playing with these feathers in the education room.

Our 2 little bears playing in the bear den.

Landen playing in the "tree house"

After ALL the walking we finally stopped and had a picnic. Yes that is Hattie asleep on the ground. She was worn out!

Family Night

Monday for Family Night we headed up to Pineview Dam. We stopped by good old KFC and got ourselves some dinner and headed up the canyon. We had some dinner and then we PLAYED!! The kids had a blast. When we pulled up Landen said, "Mom its just like the beach in Nebraska." I am assuming he is referring to the one at Louisiville State, but maybe he is a little confused and means California. Who knows? We had a lot of fun. The sun started going down so I made the boys get out of the water. To say the least they weren't happy with me, but all in all we had a blast!

Hattie pointing out the seagulls to Grandpa.

Landen carried pale after pale of water from the dam. I am suprised there was any water left in it when he was finished.

Porter pointing out the boats to Grandpa.

We had a "friendly" little game of 500. Needless to say we all suffered only minor injuries.
