Our Crazy Girl

Last night when we were putting the kids to bed I had to laugh and of course grab the camera!
This is how we found Hattie! She found Porter's hat put it on and grabbed her shopping cart and threw it right in bed with her. She fell asleep with her shopping cart and hat. She really is something else!

Since I grabbed the camera and took a picture of Hattie of course I had to take a picture with the boys. Hattie jumped right into the picture and repositioned her hat!

Oh what are we going to do with this girl?

38 Weeks

So...I am not one to even want to put pictures of myself on our blog, but because we live far away and everyone keeps requesting pregnant belly pictures here it is! (I know Maghann I am doing the weird pregnant lady pose with my hands, but really what else is there to do with them?)
My doctor is going to induce me on the 25th of August if I haven't had her by then (which is 4 days early) So there is in end in sight and I only have 10 days left:) We are so excited to meet our new addition to our family!

7 years and counting!

Yesterday, August 14th Ty and I celebrated our 7 year Anniversary!! It is so crazy to think we've already been married for 7 years. I would have never thought that so many things in our lives would have happened it those 7 years.
We never thought when we first got married we would ever move out of Utah, but I guess when you decide to join the military that would happen.
We've lived in 7 different houses.
We've lived in Utah, California, and Nebraska.
I have been pregnant for 3 of our anniversaries.
The craziest thing is we are about to have our 4th kid.
I am amazed and so grateful for the way our life has turned out. We definitly didn't think all this would happen when we first got married, but we wouldn't change a thing! We have definitly seen the Lord's hand in all the adventures we have been through and we are truly blessed!

For our Anniversary we went to a nice cool movie theater (it really is a necessity for me to be in air conditioned place. Nebraska is just to hot and humid to be outside:) We went and saw Incepetion. It was a different movie, but it must have been okay because I stayed awake the whole time which is a real challenge for me. Then we went to Outback Steak house. This wouldn't have been our first choice, but the day before at work Ty won a gift certificate there. So we couldn't pass up a free quiet meal!
I can't wait to see where the next 7 years take us!

Back to School Night

I can't believe I have an kiddo old enough to be going to Kindergarten. I have mixed emotions about sending him out there into this scary world, but he is ready and so excited to be able to go to school. Thursday night was back to school night. Landen wasn't feeling so well so we made a very quick trip over to the school so we could find out who his teacher was and see where his classroom is.
Landen finding his name on the class list.

This is his classroom at Wake Robin Elementary and he is standing next to his desk.
Good Luck Lando!!! We know you are going to do amazing things!!

Omaha Children's Museum

I have been a neglectful mom lately (my only excuse is that I am 38 weeks pregnant and tired), so I thought we needed to do something fun before Lando started Kindergarten. It has been so HOT lately that I knew we needed to do something inside so Mom wouldn't get moody, so we headed to the Omaha Children's Museum. We have only been there 2 other times, so the kids thought it was an awesome idea. In fact the night before I told them if they cleaned their play room all up without anyone whining or complaining we would go. I have never seen kids clean up so fast! We invited the Bigelow's along and we had a blast!
My future shopper! She loved putting things in her cart and pushing it around.

Hunter and Landen going for a spin on the carosuel.

Porter, Jackson, Landen, and Hunter busting some serious moves on the Clifford stage. It was so funny watching them all dance. If I could figure out how in the world to download the video I would, but I am not that smart when it comes to computers!
We had so much fun we ended up buying a membership so we can go all year long. So if anyone is up to going give us a call!

National Night Out 2010

Last night our neighborhood celebrate National Night Out. For those of you who don't know what that is, it's basically a neighborhood party where the police, city council, and resucue squads make an appearance. It is sponsored by the city and we had a lot of fun. Not every neighborhood does it, just the neighborhoods who have someone that sets it all up. Lucky for us we have very involved neighbors who host it every year.
One thing that is great about our neighborhood is beside one other little boy, our kids are the only kids under the age of 10. Most of the neighbors are grandparents who miss their grandkids. Score for us because we have kids who miss their grandparents!! So last night our kids where completly spoiled rotten. We have an amazing couple who live next door whose names are Ron and Phyllis. They are both retired school teachers and they have become our Nebraska Grandparents. My kids love to go over to their house and play and me and Ty love to visit with them. Well they are the couple that arranged the party so the kids got to help set up and they made sure the kids had the best time and got to experience everything and meet everyone!

Porter setting out the barricades to block off the road.

Ron and Landen setting up the other barricade for the road. (You would think if people saw a bright orange barricade with caution tape connecting them they wouldn't drive down the road right?...but that didn't stop some people. Oh well...)

Hattie getting settled in to eat her hot dog.

The fire truck was by far our boys favorite visitor of the night. (I know you would think it would be the people running for mayor that came, but nope they loved the fire truck:)

Landen taking his turn to drive the fire truck.

Ron and Porter ready to go fight some fires. Ron made sure that Porter had an opprotunity to do everything on the fire truck. Thanks Ron.

Porter, Hattie, and Ty checking out all the equipment on the truck. Hattie wasn't a big fan of the truck. She did get in once, but that was to check out their boots (sorry no pics) it didn't last long though. We don't know why she was so scared the did have the lights flashing, but no the sirens going. We are wondering if maybe its because the last time she saw a fire truck she ended up going for an ambulance ride. (Hey maybe someday I'll post that story its an exciting one)

Porter standing on top of the fire truck. He wasn't to sure about being that high
On the other hand Landen thought it was awesome to be able to climb that high and be on top of the truck.
As you can see our kids loved the party! I didn't get pictures, but we did have the K-9 unit come and the Chief of Police come along with the 2 people running for Mayor (Wahooo). They all brought the kids lots of fun stuff so they thought it was great. The ambulence didn't get to come because they got a call, but I was kindof grateful after seeing how Hattie reacted to the fire truck. Oh yes my favorite visitor was the Schwan man who brought fudgesicles and bompops! Yummy!!

Windows Anyone?

For Hire: These three adorable kids who love to wash windows. It works out really good for us because the only places they can reach are the only places with little hand prints. If you are interested I will admitt they are pretty expensive to hire, but they get the job done and it's one less thing you'll have to do.

First Day of Summer School

Once again this post is way over due. Landen went to Pre-K summer school this year at Wake Robin Elementary. He was so excited to finally be able to go to school. We thought it would be a great idea to get him use to the long day of school. He loved every minute of it!
Landen all ready to go!
We all walked Landen to school on his first day.
Landen at his seat and ready to go. He was so excited to be there. Mom wasn't as excited to leave him, but I knew he'd be okay and we was. He had such a fun time at summer school. He is really excited to start school again in two weeks.

Camping with Grandpa and Grandma Loveless

When we were in Utah the kids and Ty went out camping with Grandpa and Grandma Loveless. Bryson also went along. The kids had so much fun!
Grandpa giving Hattie a turn at driving the boat.
Grandma Loveless and Hattie. A long day of fishing can ware a girl out!
Landen and Porter enjoying the boat ride!
After a long day of fishing its time for some lunch!
Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Loveless for all the fun!

Hattie's First Haircut

While we were in Utah Grandma Barker gave Hattie her first haircut. She really needed it! She sat pretty still and loved her puppy cape! Thanks Grandma. P.S. we are really excited for you to come to Nebraska because Hattie is in need of another haircut, so bring your scissors:)

Pineview Dam

While we were in Utah we went out to Pineview Dam for a picnic and to play in the water. The kids had so much fun throwing rocks into the water.

Look who lost a tooth

Thats right!! Lando lost his first tooth. He was so excited to be able to put it under his pillow and have the tooth fairy come. In the morning he ran into our room with his dollar and was so excited! We can't believe how fast he is growing up.

Happy 3rd Birthday Port!

FYI this post is over 2 months overdue, but here we go anyways. Towards the end of May we decided to take a trip back to Utah.
Funny side note...we were going to come to Utah in July, but when Ty went into work to get time off they told him he had to take it now because he'd have other obligations in July that wouldn't allow him to go than. So with a few hours notice we called our families and were on our way the next day to have our vacation. So sorry we didn't get to see everyone while we were there.
While we were in Utah we got ot celebrate Porter's 3rd Birthday. A few days before his Birthday we celebrated with Ty's family.

Grandpa Loveless found this perfect tractor cake for Porter.

Porter checking out all his fun gifts.

On Porter's actual Birthday we were at my parents house. We started the day out with our traditional breakfast in bed, which was french toast. After Port finished eating he got to open his presents from us. Later that afternoon we went and had lunch at Chick-fil-a (we don't have Chick-fil-a in Nebraska, so we were really excited to go have lunch there.) Bronson, Megan, Brooke, and her girls, my parents and our family all had lunch and then headed to Dinosaur Park.

Grandpa Barker, Hattie, Porter, Kenzi, and Landen all enjoying a set on a triceratops.

Mikyla, Landen, Hattie, Porter, Kenzi, and Zander.
That night we had the family over for some Superman Birthday cake. We had such a fun time and it was great to get to celebrate with family!
