"G" is for Grocery Store

For "G" day we all went to the grocery store. The boys had a lot of fun helping picking out fruits and veggies and all sorts of snacks.

We went to a smaller grocery store so the boys could run wild! It was a lot of fun!!

"F" is for Fish

Today was "F" day so we spent the day looking at fish at the Living Planet Aquarium.

Hattie splashing her feet in the touch tank. She loved the water so much that she wanted to jump into it. Porter was trying so hard to catch a sting ray.

Landen showing Porter Nemo

Hattie crawling around the coral reef.

The octopus was crawling all around the tank. It was pretty neat to see. The boys thought it was pretty gross.
Landen, Porter, Kenzi, and Lexi all heading to the Aquarium.

"E" is for Exercise

We celebrated "E" by exercising in our favorite pool at Great Grandpa and Grandma's pool. We had so much fun as you can see!
Porter getting ready to jump off the stairs. Thankfully he gave us a cute smile before he did it!
Landen flexing his "guns" he got from exercising. He is about to do his favorite thing and that is jump into the deep end:)
Hattie enjoying some swim time. She LOVES the pool!

Farewell:(

So I have learned a lesson a lesson I didn't ever want to learn. A very sad sad lesson. It all started like this. On night my kiddos really wanted to go for a walk so I got the stroller out and we went to see the horses. We had such a fun time. We got back to my parents house and I pushed the stroller to the backyard so they could play until it was time to get ready for bed. Well the next morning we were up getting breakfast when I looked outside and noticed my stroller still outside. The sprinklers had gone off that morning. Oops the stroller was outside and got all wet. Oh well it got washed off and it will drive. And then I noticed it, my camera bag in the bottom of the stroller. I ran outside and grabbed it thinking its okay my camera is in the bag there is no way it could have got wet. When I picked up the bag it was dripping water. Ohhhhh and then I took the camera out and it was dripping water NOOOOOOOOOO! My mom has the same camera so she looked in her book to see what we could do. We rushed it to the nearest Ritz camera shop and they said it would cost $400 dollars to fix. Sick, sick, sick feeling. I could almost buy the same camera for that much money. So I gave it to my Grandpa to see if he could fix it. He did all he could do, but there was to much damage and it is gone. Oh it is to to sad. So goodbye to my favorite camera you will be missed so much!!!

C is for Cabin

Friday night we headed back up to the cabin to get a head start on our "C" day. While we were driving we noticed a big rain cloud over the Uintah Mountains. No biggy for us, but for my parents in front of us in their Jeep with only a bikini top on it, it was going to be a little wet for them. We stopped in Evanston and had some dinner and tried to wait for the storm to move, but it just started heading towards Evanston so we decided to leave. It was pretty rainy, but they said as long as they were going fast it didn't get in. The best part about the rain was the rainbows. We saw one that we could see from end to end. Sorry no pictures we didn't want to get wet and I have already broke one camera due to water. (Oh that's a story in its self. Maybe the next post) We got up to cabin around 8:30 and unloaded our stuff and got right back into the Jeep and went critter watching. (We got into our Jeep that has a roof so we didn't get wet) We didn't see anything. We came back to the cabin made some s'mores over the stove and went to bed. So what did we do on Saturday? Well here are the pictures....
Porter on the porch of the Cabin.
Grandpa and Hattie enjoying the fire Saturday morning.
Landen warming up around the fire with a cup of Hot Chocolate.
We went for a drive Saturday morning up to Whitney Reservoir. We stopped to throw some rocks in and then continued on our critter drive. There was a ton of people up there because of the holiday weekend.
The wildflowers were amazing up there. With all the rain the forest is so green and lush still.

This is the only Moose we saw.

While we were driving we went off to a side road. There was a small river we had to cross. We came to a small river we had to cross. My Mom asked my Dad if he thought he should look and see how deep it was, but he looked at her and started to cross it. The next thing you know there was water coming over the hood and my dad got the funniest look on his face like oh no this could be bad. Well we made it through it and the Jeep is doing just fine. We thought we would be able to see some really cool animals or something, but these sheep were the only things we found. Oh well the kids thought they were pretty cool.
Hattie nothing else needs to be said
Ready aim

Fire. This boy loves guns and walking around with no shoes. Oh his poor dirty feet. Oh well its not worth the fight.

Landen shooting the BB gun.
Looking to see what he hit. He was aiming for a cup. He had so much fun shooting the BB gun. He was pretty sad when the BBs ran out.
To say the least we had a really fun time at the cabin again. We really love this place and it is so fun to do things with my kids that I did when I was little.
GOOD TIMES!!

B is for Buffalo

To learn all about "B" we headed out to Antelope Island for the day on Friday. We saw lots and lots of Buffalo.

Porter, Me, and Landen (it was nap time so Hattie was asleep in the Jeep) posing for a picture in front of one of the herds of Buffalo. These things were HUGE!

Taking a rest from our tour of the ranch on Antelope Island. Since it was pioneer day they had all sorts of activities to do. The boys helped the grandpa make praire diamond rings (a ring made from a nail) they also roped some cows. (The batteries died in the camera so no pictures.)

Landen, Porter, Grandpa Barker, and my brother (not in the picture) all got into a pioneer game of stick ball. They all thought it was a lot of fun to run around the bases!

This is a picture of Antelope island. You have to drive across a land bridge to get there so the Great Salt Lake is on both sides of you. I love the reflection of the island in the water. We sure had a lot of fun here. We plan on going back so we can "play" (hopefully float) in the Great Salt Lake.

A is for Airplane

We (Me, Landen, Porter, Hattie, and my sister Brooke and her 2 girls and my brother Braxton) headed over to Hill Aerospace museum on Thursday. We had such a fun time exploring all the airplanes.

Hattie spent most the time in her stroller, but she didn't seem to mind.

Porter, Braxton, Kenzi, and Landen posing for a picture.

Landen LOVES propellar planes. So he was pretty excited that he could touch one.

Porter trying so hard to touch it!

After we finsihed exploring outside we headed to the moon, just for a picture of course, and then we came back.

Watch out Airforce here we come.
So we know these are space suites, but they were the closest thing to our dads flight suit so heres Landen saluting you dad!

A very scary thought, but he had so much fun. Maybe he will be a future pilot!?!
