Peterson's Cabin

This past weekend we spent up at Causey Dam at my parents friends cabin. The orignal plan was to spend it at our families cabin, but a few hours before we were to leave we found out our weekend had been traded and the cabin was already filled with our cousins, so thankfully the neighbors were willing to let us stay at their cabin. We had so much fun playing in the steam, the lake, riding 4-wheelers, biking, taking walks, playing cards, ping-pong, air hockey, watching movies, Jeep rides, making homemade ice cream, eating a lot of delicious food, and spending time together. Here are lots of pictures!

Porter, Brigette (my sister), Hattie, and Kiristin all watching a movie.

All the kids had a lot fun climbing the ladder and playing in the loft.

Porter and Landen playing in the loft.

Porter, me, and Landen setting out on an awesome 4-wheeler ride. Porter ended up falling asleep. I guess I am a boring driver.

So this is Hattie's new thing. Crawling on all her hands and her feet. She only does this when she is on any thing hard. It is pretty funny watching her go from carpet to hardwood, because she changes up her crawling style.

This is Peterson's cabin. It was so nice to stay here especially because their was 18 of us that went. There was plenty of room to spread out.

Aunt Shelly, Great Grandpa Barker, and Kenzi making homemade ice cream.
Great Grandpa Barker, Landen and Uncle Troy rolling their ice cream can.
My mom had the brilliant idea of making ice cream while we were there. Her ward had done this at a ward campout. It was so much fun. We just used a smaller can and put the ice cream mixture in it. We sealed it us with a lid and duct tape then put it inside this bigger can and put ice and salt around it. Then you roll it back and forth in a towel for 10 mins and then take the mixture out stir it around and then replace it back in the bigger can and then roll it again in the towel. The kids had a lot of fun helping and it was delicious to eat.

Great Grandpa and Grandma Barker with Hattie.

Porter and Kenzi getting ready to go for a ride. Once again on this ride Porter fell asleep.

Safety first right! Porter sporting an awesome red helmet.

This deer jumped right over the fence into the horse coral. The funny thing is this deer is a buck with only one antler. When I grabbed Landen to show him he said hey its Elliot. (The buck off of open season.) So we named this buck Elliot. We decided he's a smart buck because when hunting seasons comes whose really going to want to shoot a buck with only one antler?
Great Grandma Barker, Kiristin, Brigette, Landen, Hattie, My Mom, Porter, Shelly, Great Grandpa Barker, Mikyla. my Dad all hanging out at Causey.

Landen, Great Grandpa Barker and Porter looking for fish in the steam.

Porter and Landen playing in the steam. The water was super cold but they didn't seem to mind.

They were so excited to be outside and in the mountains.
And after all the fun we had we all need to catch up on some sleep. We had so much fun, we are going to try and do it again this weekend, but this time at our cabin. As long as the cousins don't show up and take over before we can get there:)
