We Bought a House!!

Yep thats right we bought a house!! We are so excited!! We have keys and everything and we are slowly moving into it. We can't get out of our house until the end of the month so we figure we will just take our time! We knew it was the house for us when we got out to see it the first time there was deer in the yard and the realtor said there is wild turkeys all over the place. Ty was so excited that he could just hunt from the bedroom window!!
We are sad to be moving away from friends and we are going to be switching wards which is a really hard for us, but we know that we still live close enough to our friends and that no matter where we go the Church is still true!! We are excited for the adventures that lay ahead!! Lots more pictures to come when we get settled!

Christmas Night 2009

Landen and Hunter playing with Lands new race track. Our family the Bigelows and Elder Jury and Elder Knight all got together for Christmas dinner. We had ham, cheesie potatoes, jell-o, rolls, and broccoli salad. It was delicious. After dinner we headed over to the Bigelows for dessert and once again delicious!!

We had the missionaries over for Christmas dinner. Outside our window there was a snow drift and I thought it was at least 6 feet tall. So Elder Jury and I went out too see if it was and he thought for sure it wasn't even 5 feet, but as we were looking at it Ty ran out and pushed him in the snow. I wasn't fast enough with the camera, but this is the after. Elder Jury thought it was pretty funny and the snow drift wasn't 6 feet tall, but maybe 4.5 feet.

This picture is out our front door. We couldn't even get it open because of all the snow. There is supposed to be a step down off our porch, but as you can see it just looks flush with the yard.

Nope I didn't pay someone to paint my windows pretty like this, this is the real thing. Got to love the wind here in Nebraska!

Christmas Morning 2009 Family Gifts

Hattie with ALL her presents. To say the least I think she has everything that goes with her doll house.

Landen with ALL his presents. He got a few didj games as well as a race track and some coloring stuff.

Porter will ALL his presents. He had a Toy Story Christmas.

To0 say the least Santa may have only brought three presents, but Grandpa's and Grandma's and Aunt's and Uncle's sure make up for it. Thanks so much for all our gifts. We are having a lot of fun with them!!

Christmas Morning 2009 Santa Gifts

Coming down the stairs to see is Santa made a visit.

Christmas morning 2009 was pretty exciting. We woke up to a TON of snow because of all the blowing snow we couldn't get out of our front door and we had snow drifts up to the windows on the side of the house, which we still have because its FREEZING here! Anyways. The kids opened the three gifts that Santa brought along with the trinkets in their stockings. Then we at our traditional Christmas breakfast of Stickey Buns. YUMMY!! The kids were excited that they all got what they wanted. Hattie, dollhouse stuff, Porter, Buzz Lightyear, and Landen a Didj. They all had a lot of fun. After we finished eating we opened the rest of the presents under the tree.

Christmas Eve

The kids setting out Santa's goodies:)

(Hattie sneaking one of Santa's cookies. She didn't seemed scared at all that she was going to be put on the naughty list for stealing his cookies even though we told her that it might happen.)
Christmas Eve it snowed all day long so we enjoyed staying home and playing as a family. That night we read the Christmas story from the Bible and used our nativity to act out the story. We than opened two presents the first was our christmas PJ's from Grandpa and Grandma Loveless and then each of the kids got to open a present that the other kids had picked for them. We then set out a plate of cookies and a cup of egg nog (Ty has the kids convinced if they leave egg nog instead of milk their presents will be better:) and headed off to bed. Landen was so cute all day he kept asking if it was time for bed yet. At about 10:00 A.M. he said, "It looks like its getting dark out can we go to bed now?" It was so fun to have the kids so excited about Christmas that all they wanted to do was go to bed.

New Christmas Church Clothes

Checking out the Christmas tree:)

Our three cute kids already to go to church to be reminded on the real reason we celebrate Christmas.

Christmas Cookies

One of our FAVORITE Chirstmas traditions is making and EATING Christmas Cookies! All the kids got out this year and we had a lot of fun and we made a MESS!

Hattie enjoying every second of her turn cutting cookies out.

Landen gets really into it and wants to make sure his turn out just right. Porter needed a little help so there are no pictures of him, but don't worry he got his turn.

Hattie watching to make sure they are cooking to perfection. (Yes she is wearing a tie. When ever she finds one she wants to wear it. She thinks she is pretty funny:)

Porter working on frosting and sprinkiling his cookies.

SNOW!!

So we have the craziest tradition around when it comes to the first snow fall. Ty, Landen, and Porter all go outside without their shirts on and make snow angels. Why they do this, I don't know, but they all seem to think its a fun idea:) Landen is not in the picture because he had done it earlier without me knowing and wouldn't do it again when I did have a camera. Porter wanted his shirt on, but NO pants.
