Now we just need Hattie!!

So we have had Hattie's room almost complete for about a month now and well today we (I really mean Ty) put the final touches on it. Here are some pictures of her new room!
We found the bedding at Baby Depot, but we weren't willing to spend as much as the wanted for it so with a little patience I found it online for a much better deal. The pillows on the futon I made. The bedding came with the 5 wall hangings so we used 2 of them for the center of the pillows then just bought material to match them. My friend made me the hair bow wall hanging. I got all the hair bands and flowers and clips from my baby shower. (Thank goodness for that I had forgotten all about hair stuff. So thanks to everyone for reminding me!!) I just loved the little lady bug night light and thought that Hattie just had to have it. We are so excited to have the room done and everything ready. Now we just wait!!

What we've been up to!!

Yes I am playing catch up again. I know I say I'll try to do better, but I think I'm about to give up on that!
Well we will start with last Wednesday. It was Air Force week here last week. On Wednesday they had AirForce Day at the zoo where they brought in a jet that you could look in. Our neighbors the Brooks invited us to go with them. We had such a fun time! Landen and their little girl Sydaleigh are great friends and they play together almost everyday! So we went and took a look at the jet then we walked around and looked at the animals. Idon't have many picturesbecause the battery went dead in our camera, but here is what I do have!
On Thursday me and Ty celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary. It's crazy to think of all the things that have happened in those 5 years. We've moved 7 times, lived in 3 different states, and the best part of all is we have 3 kids, (well almost only 5 more weeks!!). Life has been good to us and we are grateful for that!! We've loved all our adventures and hope to have a lot more of them!! Ty had arranged for a babysitter during the day so we spent the day Birthday shopping for Landen, going to lunch, and then going to the Scouting office. That night Ty was able to perform a Baptism and conformation at our Church. After that we had arranged for another babysitter because for work that night Ty had to go to a concert for a morale boost. We went to the Tops in Blue concert it was really good and we had a lot of fun. After that Ty had to go back to work for the rest of the night. We had a great time all day long. It was so fun to be able to spend so much time together.

What would Air Force week be without an air show?? On Friday we went over to the base to watch them practice for the air show. We heard it gets really crowded and we didn't want to fight the crowds on Saturday. On Friday they only let special invitation people and people with disabilities in so we went to the observation deck to watch. I think they were the best seat in the place. The boys were able to run around and play!! We ran into the Byrds so we all enjoyed the show together!

Pizza Party!!

One of the down falls to being in the military is having to say goodbye to great friends!! Our neighbors the Rocknak's are moving on to bigger and better things and they are really excited. So being the good sports we are we'll be excited for them!! (Even though I really want to crawl in a ball and cry, but we'll save that for Friday afternoon when they leave.) We have had such a fun time with them and their family and my boys absolutely love playing at their house. They both usually throw a fit when its time to go. Yesterday we had one last neighbor hurrah and we all ate lunch together. It was a lot of fun and a little sad to think this is going to happen again. We usually get together Sunday night and sit out on the lawn eat some treats and let the kids go wild, but our party is going to be a little smaller next Sunday. We will miss you all and hope that you have a lot of fun on your next adventure!!! Here are some pictures of our pizza party!

Fishing Fun!!

One thing our family really enjoys doing together is going fishing. On Saturday we took the boys to the base lake and fished for a few hours. Landen really enjoyed throwing rocks into the water and Porter really enjoyed throwing himself in the water. It was 90 degrees and really humid so how could blame the boy! We (and I a mean Ty) caught 2 fish, but we all had a lot of fun. Ty spent most the time getting my new favorite lure unstuck out of trees, bushes and rocks so I am sure if he had more time to fish he would have caught a lot more. Last saturday we went to Louisville State Park and fished then we played in the lake. (Sorry no pictures we were all have way to much fun playing in the water). On Monday Ty and I got to go out on a date and I got to chose what we were doing so we dropped the boys off at the Rocknaks (Thanks again!!) and we went to Cabelas to replace Ty's lure he had lost on our last fishing adventure and to pick some new ones out. Then we headed to Walnut Creek Reservoir were we caught 8 fish (we each caught 4). So that has been our life for the past week a whole lot of fishing. We have to get it all in while we can right!!
All the pictures are from Saturday at the Base Lake.
