Oquirrh Mountain Temple Open House

On June 24 we were able to attend the open house for the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. It was so neat to be able to take my kids inside of the Temple. Before we went into the Temple I tried to express the importance of a Temple to Landen and Porter and how we need to be reverent inside. Landen was really excited to be able to go inside and take a tour of it. (For those of you that haven't heard of a Temple open house, the Temple is open for people to take tours through them before a Temple is dedicated. It doesn't matter if you are LDS or not any one is welcomed to come.) It was amazing before we went into the Temple my boys were being boys, but as soon as we went into the Temple they immediatly were reverent. It was as if they knew and understanded the importance of reverance inside of the Temple. One of the best moments was taking them in the Celestial room. I asked Landen how he felt in there and he said he felt good and could feel Heavenly Father. We were also able to go and sit in one of the sealing rooms and there a couple talked to us about what happens in there and that a family can be sealed for all time and eternity. It was fun for the kids to look into etenity mirrors. It was such a wonderful day.
