Our Last Day with G&G Barker (until next time:)

So our last day with Grandma and Grandpa Barker here started like this...
Grandpa made us some of his famous animal pancakes which included....a T-Rex, Snake, snowman, minnie mouse, another snake and a whole bunch of balls. Every kind you can think of:)
Paisley enjoying some yummy goodness:)
Landen, Hattie, and Porter eating breakfast like champions!!
While Grandpa was cooking Grandma was busy getting Peyton ready for the day. She had a nice bubble bath followed by her first hair do. Yes a little curl down the middle. Peyton has been our first baby we've ever been able to do anything with their hair before they were at least a year.

After we were all full and were ready we took advantage of the nice weather we have been having (its been in the 50's its usually in the teens maybe twenties if we are lucky and the wind is usually blowing) and headed to the zoo. Notice all of us just in jackets and sweatshirts. Thats right no winter coats for us!!
Grandma and Grandpa getting ready to go and watch Amazing Caves at the I-Max theater at the zoo. If you haven't seen this it was pretty cool. My kids even sat through it. It may have been all the popcorn Grandma and Grandpa bought them...but hey whatever works:)
Hattie and Paisley sharing a secret:)
Landen in the desert dome.
I love this picture of Paisley. Before we headed into the zoo I handed the camera off to my Sister Brigette and she was the photographer for this trip to the zoo.
Yes Hattie is in the sand/dirt. This is were you can find her if there is any around.

Paisley with her new cute hat she got for Christmas from Grandma and Grandpa Barker. She LOVES hats, shoes, and blankets. She is a keeper.

After all the fun it was time to go and Hattie and Paisley got the royal treatment...They didn't even have to walk out of the zoo:)
We can't wait to take Grandma and Grandpa to the zoo again:)

Presents Finally....

After Church we headed home and the kids were FINALLY able to open their presents. They actually did really well waiting. A lot better than I think we would have ever done. We did explain to them the night before they would have to wait until after Church to open their presents.
On the way home the boys told us they were getting right back into their Christmas PJs and they sure did. Here is some pictures from our day.

We ended the day by eating a traditional German Christmas Dinner. My brother in-law Steve served his mission in Germany and cooked us some delicious food. Sorry no pictures I was sleeping while he was cooking and to busy eating when it was done:)

Christmas Morning

This Christmas morning was a little different. Instead of waking up and getting right to the presents we woke up and got ready and headed to Church. We were so lucky this year to have my parents, younger Sister Brigette, younger Brother Braxton, Older Sister Bree Anne, her husband Steve and their little guy Ammon, all at our house this year for Christmas.
We had decided before Peyton came to bless the baby here in Nebraska instead of going to Utah because we don't plan on going back until maybe the Summer and we didn't want to wait that long. So we were able to bless Peyton on Christmas. It was a great way to start Christmas morning. Here are some pictures of Peyton in her blessing dress and the rest of the kiddos dressed in their Sunday best for Church.
Peyton Anne Loveless:) So as many of you already know we didn't find out what we were having. We wanted to be surprised, but we also needed to have a blessing outfit. When I was around 32 weeks I had my doctor do an ultra sound and write down what the baby was. I brought an addressed envelop and she sent an ultrasound picture with the sex of the baby written on it to my dad. He did such an awesome job keeping it a secret from everyone. He said it was pretty tricky because he always had to watch what he said.
My parents went to White Elegance in Utah and they picked out a boy blessing outfit and girl one. Then my dad came back another day all by himself and bought the girl dress. My mom didn't want to know what it was because she was afraid she would slip and tell me.
We were so grateful that they did all of this for us just so we could still be surprised:)

I decided to see if I was crafty and made this headband to go with her dress. The pearl in the middle is a real pearl from a necklace that a child whose name we will not mention decided to see if it could fit through a hole on their bed. The necklace ended up getting stuck and so of course they tugged and tugged until the necklace broke:) Peyton's dress has little pearls on it so it looked really cute to have a pearl on her headband. I just twisted to piece of ribbon together and hot glued it on a piece of felt. It was really easy and I loved the way it looked.

COOKIES!!

Before we went to bed on Christmas Eve we let the kids loose with sprinkles and frosting to decorate some cookies just for Santa. They sure enjoyed it especially when we told them they could eat one and leave one for Santa.

She's Here!

Peyton Anne Loveless
Born December 7, 2011 at 5:28 P.M
7 lbs 13 oz 19 3/4 inches long

Baby story to come....

SHE"S HERE!!!

We are excited to introduce the newest member of the the Loveless Fam!
Peyton Anne Loveless was born Wednesday December 7th at 5:28 P.M. Weighing in at 7 lbs 12.9 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. We are so happy and grateful she is here!
So here is the story....Tuesday night at about 10:00 P.M. it all began...I was laying in bed and having contractions. They seemed to be off and on...so I thought I would just go lay in the bath and they would go away. So I took a nice bubble bath at about 11:00 P.M. Got out and they didn't go away...The panic sunk in. I am not due for another 10 days...my mom isn't here she's not going to be here for another week....my kids might freak out if they woke up to someone else being here...no no no...this can't happen I can't have a baby in the middle of the night. That is when I decided that I wasn't going to have the baby in the middle of the night and I would have a plan to wait until morning. (Like I really had any control over it:)
Well the contractions continued all night, but they were about 8 minutes apart. I took another bubble bath and pretty much just prayed my water wouldn't break. I made it to morning at about 7:oo A.M. I told Ty I would be really surprised if we didn't have a baby that day. I told him to stay by the phone and I would call him if the contractions got to close.
Well we continued on with the morning the same as we always do except I was still having contractions. I did some laundry, got the kids ready, got myself ready even shaved my legs:), and made a casserole just in case the baby did come I wanted to make sure everything that I could take care of was. We even had Katelyn Rose over. Her mom Tiffany and I were both pregnant so we traded kids with each other for our Dr. Appointments. When Tiffany showed up I asked her if she had plans for the rest of the day because I may need her to watch my kids. She was a little shocked that I was still going to watch Katelyn. At that point I was having contractions about every 6 minutes, but was still able to handle them. I assured her my neighbor was home and well qualified to watch kids incase something did happen when she was at the doctor.
At about 10:30 A.M. I decided it was time to call my mom and break the news to her. She told me that I needed to call Ty and have him take me to the hospital. I assured her that I would call him when the contractions got closer and more intense. She was really sad that she wasn't going to be here to help. I was supposed to be induced on Wednesday the 14th and she was flying in on Tuesday. I was also sad that she was going to miss it. She is the best photographer and takes lots of pictures. Even though we tease her she is going to blind the babies we really appreciate all the pictures she takes.
Well Tiffany came and got Katelyn and offered to just take the kids with her. I told her I was fine, but that I was probably going to have to drop them off in a while. The contractions were still about 5 minutes apart, but they were getting more intense.
At 11:00 A.M. I finally called Ty and asked him to finish up whatever he needed to at work and come home. The contraction were coming faster and they HURT! I was not being as patient with the kids and I knew I needed him here to help with them.
Ty got home around 11:30 A.M. I decided that I should pack a hospital bag and a bag for the kids. Remember I still have 10 days and I would probably wait all those 10 days before I was really going to pack a bag anyways:) We got things gathered up and at noon I called Tiffany and asked if it was okay to bring the kids over now. I also called the Holmgrens (a family that we go to Church with whose kids also go to Wake Robin Elementary were Landen goes.) and asked if Landen could walk home with them. We loaded the kids up and were on our way.
On the way over we stopped at Landen's school to let him know of our plans and then had to stop at the store to get Paisley some milk. Of course we were completely out:)
We got to the Rose's at about 12:30 P.M. at that point the contractions were 3 minutes apart and I could barely stand them. (I really don't like being in pain at all:)
We then headed to the hospital. We got there at about 1:00 P.M. It was so weird to walk in a hospital and say I think I am in labor. They kindof look at you like okay whatever lets go strap you to a monitor...Well I got changed and strapped to a monitor after a few minutes my nurse came in and said she was going to call the Doctor and told me I was going to have a baby today. She called the Doctor and then came in and started filling out my paper work. All I wanted her to do was order me and epidural. I was in way to much pain to sit and answer questions...but she really wanted those questions answered. So I sat and answered questions in the middle of contractions. When she left I looked at Ty and said when are they going to give me my epidural...The nurse decided to check me and I was at a 6. A 6...I have never gotten to a 6 without an epidural. I am the person that walks through the door asking for the epidural as soon as possible.
A few minutes later my hero walked through the door...Her name was Val and she was going to be my nurse for the rest of the day. She saw that I was in pain and immediately asked the other nurse if the Doctor had ordered any pain meds. Well the doctor had and she went and got fentanyl for me. She said that I would feel like I had one to many to drink. Ty told her that I didn't drink so it should be really fun to see. She pumped that through my IV and holy cow the room started spinning, but I was so happy to have something for the pain.
She told me that if my water didn't break there was a chance for me to get an epidural, but I had to have a bag and a half of fluids before they could order me an epidural. I guess the doctor had ordered for my water to be broken, but she wasn't going to have them come break it until either it broke on my own or I had the epidural. She ran the IV as fast as it would go and she got all the fluid in me. I then got my epidural. I was so happy!! She checked me right after and I was at an 8 this was at about 4:00 P.M. They had another doctor come in and break my water. They started getting the room ready.
At 5:00 P.M. she checked me again and I was ready to go. She called the doctor and at 5:28 P.M. Peyton was born.
Peyton weighed in at 7 lbs 12.9 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. I thought it was funny that she was so big. Porter was also 10 days early and he weighed 7 lbs 13 oz and they have been my biggest babies. The rest of them come a day after or on their dues dates and were only 7 lbs 6 oz, 7lbs 4 oz, and 6 lbs 13 oz.
At 6:20 P.M. After they had me and Peyton all taken care of Ty left and went and got the kids so they could meet her before they had to go to bed. They also had to stop and get me some Jimmy Jones on their way back:) I really need to eat something and well lets be honest the hospital food isn't that good. They kids were really excited to meet their Sister, but I think they were more excited about he presents that she brought them. The boys got a Cars play-doh set and the girls got an ice cream shop play-doh set.
Paisley wasn't to happy about her picture being taken. She just really wanted to drink her drink in peace.
Me and Peyton
We are so happy and feel so blessed to have Peyton in our family. What a perfect addition she has been to our family. She is such a mild mannered baby. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father knew we needed to have her in our family.
After Ty brought the kids up he took them home and put them in bed. Our friend Audrey Carey came over to sit with the kids. Hattie was so excited to have her "best friend" at her house that she didn't want to go to bed. Ty told her the at Audrey would bring her a drink of water. So Audrey did and said that Hattie talked to her for a minute and then went right to sleep. Audrey was Hattie's old nursery leader. Ty got to come back up and spend a few hours with us.
The next day Ty got Landen off to school and then brought the kiddos back up to the hospital. We all got to spend the morning together. Ty took them home at nap time and let them have nap. He then brought all the kids back up at around 4:00 P.M.
The nurses in the nursery put this cute hat on Peyton.
Paisley loving on her new sister. She is really intrigued by her. She has been very helpful. When its time to change Peyton's diaper Paisley will go find a diaper and wipes for her. She will even throw the diaper in the garbage.
Hattie has been an awesome big Sister. She loves to hold and sing to Peyton.
All of us Loveless girls checking out our new shopping buddy.
Oh my...We have 5 awesome kids. We really do feel so blessed to have a house full of kids. They are so much fun! After this picture on Thursday night we decided to go down to the cafeteria and have dinner as a family. It was so nice to be able to spend so much time with each other!
Friday morning Ty and the kids came back up after Landen went to school. We were so happy that we finally got to come home. I will be honest I do miss the nursery but I am so happy to be home. Ty is getting Peyton ready to come home.

Peyton all strapped in and ready to come home. We are so happy to have her home with us. Each night when the kids would leave the hospital they were sad that Peyton couldn't come home with us yet. So they were thrilled when she finally got to come home.
